An even simpler idea is to make lollipops! A few sticks of carrot or whatever (Buster loves melon) in a small cup of water then frozen. Defrost slightly by placing the cup in water for a little while then turn it out for a licky treat on hot Summer days (make sure you give them out doors or you'll have a mess on your floor.)

I freeze whole carrots or sweet potato slices and give those to the dogs. an (being half hyena) just crunches his up in 5 seconds, spoiling my fun.
