Molly was here a couple of days ago. She's never been nice to a cat as all she knew was... pussy cat! Skitch! (get the cat out of the yard).  Now....

Good luck!

I don't think Dempsey would ever do more than tolerate a cat, and even that would be an uneasy tolerance & would have to be supervised 100%!

Well, her 2 little poodles have no training or manners at all.

We all went walkies. Dear god!! Jess with me, Tyson with Con, both healing beautifully down the street. Paris & Elvis with sis inlaw all walking like a crazy patchwork quilt. (Memories of being embarrassed to walk with my mother as a child come flooding back. covering eyes I don't think the word "heal" is part of their vocabulary.) They all had off lead play at the park. Mine came when called, one of  hers went bush. shocked

We got home & reintroduced Chilli as everyone had calmed down & Elvis lunged at her taking a chunk of hair out of her. angry

We let them out to go to the toilet & they chased Sooty down! (My silkie chook) I grabbed them as sis inlaw did nothing except say...naughty! angry

They will not meet Chilli or my chooks again if she can't control them. IF I let her dogs back on my property!   not talking

Oh dear is right. hug
I have never been so embarrassed watching them "walk" with us..... for me, in the street, conduct youself with decorum. You're working now! Your ear should be right on my left leg, watch me. If my leg doesn't move, neither do my dogs.

Go nuts in the park or yard. I'll be a fool with you, but mine must behave in the street & they know it.
I can't believe anyone lets their dogs rule how a walk goes or when it ends. shocked

Here's the culprits.
Paris 9yrs (white) & Elvis 7yrs (black).

I have to admit that I don't insist on a rigid 'heal' in the street. I'm more than happy to let him walk ahead of me ir sniff the wall & pee! But I don't allow bad behaviour, with a 28kilo dog that would be a recipe for disaster!

I don't blame you for not being happy with them on your property, though. Your SIL should at least try to control her dogs and have the grace to be embarrassed when they misbehave!

Oh mine can wander around sniffing everything to. But only when told, "free time". & mine know to heal if anyone or dog is coming towards us, (I worry someone may be frightened of mine or maybe a DA dog?) They automatically sit at a road & wait for "heal" or my left leg to move before they step off from the curb.

All that aside, I am really disappointed that she has no control of them. Admittedly, they are rescues & she has only had them a yr but still.

You wouldn't be allowed to behave this way in my house.

I know what you mean & with my previous dogs I did the same. But I'm more relaxed about it all nowadays. Dempsey stops at the roadside, but I don't make him sit (mainly because he was a show dog & I didn't want an automatic sit every time I stopped) and he's allowed to sniff & pee whilst on lead & on the pavement. He isn't allowed to pull towards other dogs & he's always controlled around people.

Not a care in the world. Only babies and 'pensioners' of any species that have that kind of peace.
