13kg of dog mess cleared from a beach

You know, dog walkers moan about the restrictions placed upon them preventing them from walking (or taking) their dogs onto beaches during the tourist season. And yet, off-season, they allow 13kg of dog faeces to remain on only TWO beaches. Yes, some of it will be taken out by the tide, but how much will be deposited back again on the next tide.

PLEASE dog walkers on beaches, pick up after your dog for the sake of everyone, human and dog alike.

For some reason, there's a strange mentality with a lot of dog walkers that grassy or sandy areas are exceptions to dog walking etiquette and law.

As an aside, I often wonder how dog owners, who for whatever reason won't pick up after their dogs, feel when they or their children step in "other peoples' dog's" poo. Pass it off with a merry laugh - karma?

Or complain bitterly, forgetting that they themselves have done it.
