Poor Greyhound. It's something all owners should be aware of so that they can make an informed decision in regards to vaccinations.

I will always vaccinate. Your dog is more prone to the disease vaccinated against than having a side effect.
I've seen to many puppies die of Distemper and Parvo that could have been very easily prevented.

I vaccinate every 3 years (except Lepto which is done annually). I know there can be awful side effects, but they aren't that common & I've never had 1st hand experience of them.

There are homeopathic alternatives (not sure if these cover Parvo, though) but they have to be given monthly, I think.

In all the years we've owned dogs I've never seen a reaction. My Xan is a bit off for a day but that's the worst.
The worst is the rabies shot: It burns!

Luckily, we don't have a problem with rabies over here anymore.
