Owner hires hitman to kill dog - thankfully, dog survived

They've caught the huntsman, who is believed to have done this before to several other dogs and faces a year in prison. The dog is expected to make a full recovery within a couple of months. He will not be returned to his owner.

That poor dog, it is hard to believe how cruel some people can be. What a horrible thing to happen.
