My horses

My horses are all waiting for me at Rainbow Bridge, but here they are:-

Fandango (New Forest pony)


Saracen (Arab cross, my mum on board)


Walstead, subsequently Franks Folly (English Throughbred, ex-hurdler)

Thanks Lynne, you wouldn't have been scared of Saracen. Imagine a Golden Retriever in horsey form - he hadn't a bad bone in his body. Which is why my mum was happy to ride him and cried her eyes out when he put down (arthritis).

Oh, they're so beautiful! Saracen was a really lovely horse; well, they all were!

Saracen was very special, as Arabs are - they are a breed apart from all other horses.

I so regret selling Danny (Fandango), but I was too big for him, and my younger sister couldn't manage him.

Folly was an ex-racer and very temperamental.

The Arab, and Arab crosses, have to be my all time favourite horse. I've wanted to own aone for many years - sadly, it's never been possible.

They are very, very special Caryll. When my Lotto numbers come up I'll get another one (dreaming!)
