Dogs in crowds
If possible, try to keep your dog away from crowds when it's hot. The heat alone can make dogs very irritable and uncomfortable, but being in a crowded situation is likely to exacerbate any problems. This includes busy town centres, buses, social gatherings and barbecues. Please ensure in these situations that your dog has a private, shaded place to retreat to, with plenty of fresh water available at all times.

This is very good advice, particularly for excitable dogs (they don't always know what is good for them).

Thank you
No, they don't, do they? Then they make us feel bad for ruining their fun!

As you mentioned barbecues, also remember that barbecues have many hazards for dogs - skewers, the fire itself, cooked bones to name just a few!
