Dempsey's mental stimulation for the day (pics)

Gave him his lunch (finely chopped boiled egg) in his puzzle tray:









The circular area covers compartments - the blue cover has one opening, so Demps has to push the cover around to access each individual tray and get the food.

The four 'toes' of his puzzle tray have sliding covers, with two compartments in each one.

He loves it! Spent a good twenty minutes on it, same as yesterday. It would be quicker, if not for his strangely-shaped head. He can't get his nose in the compartments, so he has to stick his chin in and lick around!

And (trust him) he managed to pull the circular cover off!   

Yep, pulled it right off! This wasn't until after he'd found all of the egg pieces though, so it was a wasted effort!

I think he was just making sure!

Had to make sure! It would have been a crime for him to waste any egg!

Well done for your persistence Dempsey! Kuchar would have given up in 30 seconds flat - Mum, help me!

Where food is concerned, Dempsey's very stubborn!

Find the right food and he'll do anything to get it! He absolutely adores boiled egg!

And cheese!

You know, I think he might actually like boiled egg more than cheese!

That looks great for them. Well done Dempsey I think Bella would have just tried to destroy it if she knew there was food in there   

Demps has tried to pull of the wheel before, but we always keep an eye on him and pull his head away if he does. Got away with it today though!
