Does the dog die: Important movie question.
Don't care how many people are killed but whether the dog makes it or not?

Thats so true. But also a little scary! We are so used to seeing humans die we've become so blase about it.

I think i expect some of the humans to die, but the animals are always the innocent party!

I think I remember seeing this movie many many years ago when I was a child - I seem to remember the family shutting themselves into a barn at one point?

Nooo remember the bull terrier in Babe: Pig in the city. He wanted bacon tartare and then got stuck and nearly died in the river. i've never cried so much. Babe is an emotional journey for me.

I'm the same, as long as the animals are ok then I'm not too bothered about the humans in the film

It's what makes me not like the new Riddick movie - the poor alien dog dies for defending his not even very nice owner. They could have made him run off and later leave the planet with Riddick.
