Been very busy and productive today! Finished, with pics!

Now exhausted.

Quite pleased with the result though. Once it's finished, I'll reveal the surprise, with pics!

It's a great feeling to have achieved something isn't it; even the exhaustion is a satisfying exhaustion.

I'm holding my breath in anticipation!

By the way, that was a total lie - bedroom went great! Just didn't want to give away the surprise!

Here be the project I was working on:





It's bigger than it looks and goes quite far back. Will have hedgehog-safe tunnel ramps, so he'll be able to get to and from each level, along with loads of other hedgehog stuff!

It isn't finished yet, as I'm going to sew vet bed underneath the layers of fleece, for extra padding. Also going to attach Velcro to the underside of the bedding, so that it doesn't come away from the edges too easily. Will also put lawn edging around the sides of the enclosure, so that Snuffles can't climb out or get his little legs/head stuck.

Took me months to get this far! The worst part was my bedroom, which I didn't actually think would get finished. The place where the enclosure is was hidden under stacks of boxes, filled with old stuff.

Going to go on a shopping trip next week, hopefully, to get some more supplies to finish it off!

Now I need pic of snuffles.

Hopefully he'll be along soon! Need to get all his hedgehog-stuff first.

Will he have a tray where he can do what hedgehogs need to do, and can hedgehogs be tray-trained?

He will, and they can! He'll start off with a tray underneath his wheel, as they tend to poop when running. Then I'll see which corner of the enclosure he likes to poop in the most and put a tray there, as well.

He might not like to use the tray, in which case I'll just have to spend more time clearing up his poo, but we'll see!
