Funeral today

It's my sister's funeral today, so I might not be on much.

I hate funerals.

So sorry for your loss. I don't like funerals either. Lol.

God rest your soul Jacqui. She has been in my thoughts since I found out & will be in my little night pray again tonight.
I cannot imagine loosing my sister. Take all the time you need babe. Keep Natasha close. Loosing a parent is hard.

I don't like funerals either. I don't think anyone does. But, they are a part of life & loving someone.
Just one thing to remember... It was said to me once, some yrs ago at my grans funeral...(she was 97).

We are here to rejoice her life, the ones she loved, the many that loved her, all the things she overcame & achieved, knowing her, & the joy that she shared & bought to others. The cheeky grin on her face, her laugh, or just the way she hugged you at the door, that kiss on your face, her hand on your body.

Smile when you think of her. She would not want her family & friends upset. She would be happy to look down & see them smiling as you think of her.

I hope you all are ok, even though i know you are not. My heart is with you at this very sad time.

It went quite well. A Humanist ceremony.

Got to be honest and say that I'd never heard of them before, but it was very tastefully done.

My step-father had a Humanist funeral, and my nephew had a Humanist wedding, and they were both beautiful services.

I hope you found some consolation from the ceremony

I'm extremely sad that I missed it, but it sounds like it was a really nice service.

It was strange, as there were no prayers etc, but yes, it was quite moving.

I just heard that a friend of mine lost her mother last night. I still have a pic of Xan and her mum from a competition or training day.
