TIRED Empty TIRED

Post by Hayley Fri Nov 07, 2014 10:29 pm

Had a 45hour work week - and about 2 hours on top of that doing "messages" for work.

Exhausted!

Having a well deserved beer.

Oh Hayley, I do sympathise. These days, those of us who are lucky enough to be given employment are expected to do the work that two or even three people did not so very many years ago. And if you have to work what used to be called "overtime" over and above your contracted weekly hours of work you will be very lucky indeed if you get any thanks for your efforts, never mind any extra money.

Before I retired from exhaustion on my 60th birthday, I regularly worked 80+ hours a week (contractual hours 35 per week) for 20 years.

I feel SO sorry for those who cannot get a job, but I have to confess even sorrier for those who can get a job but from whom so much is demanded.

Enjoy your weekend Hayley - rest and recuperate!

I was picking up a sofa for work, got it and discovered it was STIKNING of smoke. So i now have a sofa in my shed! lol. so the "messages" is a continuing thing.

I actually really enjoyed it this week, im on a busy mood week. I have hyper weeks then lazy weeks (usually my hyper weeks are the two where im not expecting/recovering from a period!) so i take advantage.

That's something again Ella - all night working. It's good you have a week off every other week, but switching back and forth every week must play havoc with your body clock.
