Three needing homes
I have been asked via our dog training class to help out with advertising three GSDs who are about to lose their homes. All three live on a farm in the Reading area, where they have lived in kennels, with free reign over the land. The farm has recently changed hands, and the dogs are not wanted by the new owner. They can stay there until mid January, at which point if they have not been rehomed, rescue kennels will be sought for them; the employees seeking homes are leaving the farm at this point.

Asa: was rescued from a traveller's site where he had been kept in a wire cage and suspected of being used as a bait dog. He doesn't like being left alone. With careful introductions to other dogs, he's quite submissive and tends to avoid confrontation generally. Very sweet, gentle dog with people. Lots of energy, would suit someone active and perhaps prepared to take him to training to channel his energy.
While he has been with us at the farm, he's had the freedom to run and chase birds, rabbits etc... so he wouldn't be suitable with a home with small animals or cats. Good basic obedience.
ASA
Male German Shepherd Dog
Short Coat
Neutered
Microchipped
Approx 5yrs old
Energetic, lively boy with a sweet nature
Basic level of obedience
Enjoys running after balls and Frisbees.
Does not do well when left alone.

Storm: was given up to a rescue by his family when he was 12mths old due to the child developing an allergy. He is a very 'chatty' boy with a big personality. Is very good at training and agility, treat motivated and a joy to work with. 'Speaks' on command but hasn't got the hang of being quiet on command. Very sweet, loving boy, great fun to be with. As with the other dogs he has been used to chasing birds etc... so a home without small animals and cats.
STORM
Male, German Shepherd Dog
Long Coat
Neutered
Approx 5yrs old
Microchipped
Very enthusiastic with training, Treat motivated.
Good obedience
Ok with other dogs if introduced carefully.
Very sweet natured, loves playing with a ball on rope.

Zang: is a really laid back 7yr old, who would love nothing more than to lie on the sofa and be loved.
He has good basic obedience, although he is a bit lazy and more likely to lay down than do much else. Very submissive with other dogs and generally gets on with people and dogs, but again as with the other dogs, would possibly be best suited to a home without small animals and cats.
Zang
Male German Shepherd Dog
Short Coat
Neutered
Microchipped
Approx 7 yrs old
Good obedience level
Very laid back, affectionate boy
Good with dogs
I have not personally met these dogs, but have spoken at length with Sara (see below). If there is anyone who can help rehome these, please contact the people below directly:

Re: Three needing homes
I know that feeling - I'd have all three given the opportunity.
