Re: terrier winner
staffie was horrible lol
the ibizian hound was emaciated. I'm so shocked it got through, it was not lean and fit it was actually emaciated.

That's the way they like them now.
The scottie's a star! I haven't seen the winning Stafford yet, though.

Re: terrier winner
Depends if the dog is physically healthy, I suppose. It looks too skinny to me, but if there are no health concerns, I don't think they'd do anything. Looks like it has some decent muscle condition, but the pin bones are a bit prominent, aren't they?

Re: terrier winner
It's the done thing with the Egyptian breeds now. I know they're meant to be lean, but they do seem to be taking it too far.

Re: terrier winner
I saw a number of dogs looking like that yesterday, and have to say it didn't look good. I like to keep mine on the lean side, but that is just ridiculous.

Re: terrier winner
I don't really know those types of breeds very well, so I don't know how much of a toll it takes on the body for them to be that lean. I can't imagine it's the healthiest state a dog could be in though!
I like to see a nicely balanced dog. Quite a few of the Bull Terriers yesterday were quite overweight. I know Dempsey is hardly the slimmest dog around, but there were some real podgers there yesterday! Still lovely dogs, but apparently the judges actually like to see fat wobbling around on them and prefer them to fit ones!

Re: terrier winner
It is a nice Stafford.
Not so very bully looking and thick in the bone as has been the norm last few years.
I still like them a bit more terrier-y. Bit longer in the leg and slightly leaner through the body. The ones I grew up with.

Re: terrier winner
I think he has plenty of leg, but personally I prefer a slightly less bully head.
