Canine Psychology: Special Study
I have to do a Special study at the end of my Canine Psychology course. It can be about anything canine behaviour related or the human-canine relationship; but needs to be a bit specific so you don't overwhelm yourself and can't prove your point.
One of the first things one of the authors of my textbook said is: Animals can't think. It greatly pissed me off. The first pages of the book warn against anthropomorphism and anthropocentrism then says only humans can think. I'm thinking about doing a study that disproves that.
I'm looking for other ideas as well. Seeing as I have all your minds to tap ...
I'll see what pops up in the next few months but want to start a rough draft now so I can work on it between everything else I have going on.
I appreciate any insights.
And as a P.S: I got 97% and 100% on my 2 Canine Nutrition Adviser exams

Well done on your exams, great results!
I'm not much use re: your study, I'm afraid. I agree with you, though, that dogs can think - maybe they don't reason the way we do, but they do think.
My only reservation with a project like that would be if you have to quote scientific papers to back up your views - that might be difficult.

The Behaviour course is through a University, where I'll be registered as a student, with all those resources open and available
