First rosettes of the season
First show was on Sat. I only took Charm cause little Goldie is down with laminitis and Thriller looks awful (also it was raining hard and he will NOT stand in the rain lol)
It was a bit of a silly cocked up show the judge and streward didn't have a clue what the hell they were doing - half the time I was telling THEM what they need to be doing/looking at. They were just picking horses and making sure everyone got a red rosette. They didn't go through any of the motions and were incredibly unprofessional.
Personally i didn't mind cause 1) i know them both well so it was a bit of a hoot 2) this show is the "test" show for most people, to see how a horse will actually act at a show. 3) it was pouring rain, i didn't want to stand there and do the motions over and over and over again for this particular level of show!
Anyway, we entered three classes and came home with four rosettes (i dunno lol) No photos of the horses cause noone could see through the rain!

Re: First rosettes of the season
Oh well done Hayley and the gorgeous Charm A good run-in leading up to the season!
Sorry to hear that Goldie has laminitis, a curse for native ponies. Thank heavens, my New Forest pony never suffered from it. You'll know how to treat it I know, and I hope that Goldie recovers very soon.

Well done! Good achievement even if the judge/steward didn't have a clue!
Poor Goldie, hope she's better soon.
