Finally my stump is gone.
For those that remember....
All our trees were cut down 8mths ago as my neighbour has subdivided his block & is now building. Late last night under darkness & machinery lights the stump was removed. None of us realised just how big or deep it was!
My fence was cut down, in came the digger, men with axes trying to chop the roots that the digger couldn't break. Hours later, finally, it came out.
The pics don't actually show how big it was.
Thank god it's now gone & I can fix up my garden & vegie patch.
All the while, unbeknown to me, ( I thought he was inside with Jess as I'd put them both in for safety. He must have bolted outside to see what was going on in his yard. ) Tyson was outside watching the digger as Simon ,the digger operater said..."What's he doing here?" As Tyson just sat looking in the hole. Hmmm, I don't dig holes that big.... good job guys. Can I have that big stick?
Jesus Tyson.... get inside now!
They were very happy to finish the job as I made them hot, buttered, blueberry muffins to say thank you. Thanks guys!

Strange people to wait to middle of the night to remove their debris after all this while! It was very kind of you, Tracy, to give them muffins - I think I might have been inclined to give them a different kind of mouthful!

Re: Finally my stump is gone.
They had been working all day... I winged about the stump still being there...I want to put in a fruit tree! ... ok. We'll do it now.
I was quite grateful it was finally gone & as I stood on the edge of the hole, it gave way.... the boys pulled me out of the hole as I injured myself.
Soon as my leg heals!
Completely my fault but thankyou to Brad & Simon for saving me as I laughed at my own stupidity.
My shin is actually more painful than the bruised knee I got.

Re: Finally my stump is gone.
Oh, it got a lot worse looking as the bruise came out but the pain subsided in equal quantities.
Next they are replacing the entire fence (free of charge to me) but... there will be no hot muffins unless they come to the house for them so I am safe & can watch that Tyson doesn't go for a look.

They wouldn't care if I threw them at them. They are lovely guys, both with a sick sence of humour.
Its yellow & purple now. Looks like I have jaundice. But while it still hurts if anything touches it... I can now go "walkies" again now.
