Hope the little girl is okay! I really wish people wouldn't allow their dogs off-lead on beaches. With so many people around, it must be quite a high-energy environment for dogs.

I think they're just trying to find the woman from her picture, but yes, details might have been useful. I'm wondering if the little dog was running around and the child perhaps tried to stroke him. Really, though, the dog should have been under control.
