What type of dog owner are you?

I too wonder why people bother to pick up after their dogs and then hang the poo bag on a bush, although I haven't seen evidence of this recently.

An old lady I used to bump into on dog walks used to pick up after her dog, then hurl the bag into thick bushes so she obviously wasn't thinking of retrieving them. To my shame, I never asked her Why, what's the point?

I like to think I'm a responsible walker; always bring bags with me and pick up after Dempsey. I've never understood why people even bother bagging it if they're going to hurl it into a bush - the bags aren't biodegradable!

No, that's the point. 20 years on - long after the dog and his owner have departed this life - I'll bet the bags are still there.

Probably! You can get biodegradable bags, but let's face it - these people probably don't care enough to get them.

To be honest, if you're going to throw the bag willy nilly, you're better off not picking up in the first place! At least it'll break down/wash away eventually!

Exactly! I think it's just sheer laziness. They pick it up because they don't want to get caught breaking the law, then throw it away when nobody's looking because it's just too much effort to find a dog bin or take it home with them.
