That is absolutely heartbreaking.

I read recently that (humane)tests have been done on dogs' brains to show that they genuinely do feel Love, in its purest sense.

Like most animals, dogs recognise and understand Death, but it seems that when the dead animal or human which they loved is before them they experience Grief.

I feel sadness for the dog that died, but I feel anguish for the dog who is sorrowing for him.

I think they have a lot more going for them than a lot of people realise!

Oh I wish I hadn't watched that , poor dog so distressed after losing his best pal     

 I've cried every time I've watched it!
