How the hell did they get away with it!  

Nowadays, you can claim a disorder and everybody seems to flinch away with a clove of garlic and a crucifix. Hoarders or not, that's no excuse for the abuse and neglect. Hoarding doesn't affect whether or not you get the dogs medical treatment or feed them.

 

Quite apart from the neglect of the dogs, how can people bear to live in such squalor. And yet didn't they look nice and clean and neat at their court appearance? Such a pity their dogs weren't so clean and neat - poor things.

These people's "dog-hoarding disorder" was obviously dreamed up by their defending counsel. Pfft.

I'm afraid, Lynda, that you're absolutely right!

I find it disgusting that people are able to claim such a thing, when there are others who genuinely suffer from a hoarding disorder and can't easily get help because scumbags, like the ones in this case, give them such a bad name.
