Dogs that do not shed
For asthmatic people or people with allergies to dog hair, ‘non-shedding’ breeds are often preferred. Please be aware that no breed of dog with fur is going to be a 100% non-shedding breed, as dead hair needs to be disposed of somehow, but the shedding is minimal. Please also be aware that non-shedding breeds are not necessarily hypoallergenic, as some people can be allergic to dog hair and skin regardless. I would also like to point out that these breeds of dogs still need grooming – even the hairless breeds, which require careful skin care!
