Regardless of whether or not there's truth to it, please follow proper standards of hygiene when handling and storing your dog's food, especially if it's raw.

I'm glad they've explained, if this is the case, why it's suddenly affecting all breeds instead of just Greyhounds. During the last outbreak, it was illegal to feed raw meat, aside from racing Greyhounds.

Sounds a possibility. It won't hurt to be that extra bit careful with the hygiene standards, at least until they work out exactly what is causing it.
