Dangerous dog show
Did anyone watch it last night on ITV?
Utter pile of shite that it was, the only good point was the message of it's the owner and environment not the dog, but the blonde dog wardens were about as unprofessional as it gets, screaming at a terrified dog trying to get it out of a house, and strangled it until it's tongue went blue
Not impressed.

I thought the dog warden did ok actually bearing in mind the stress of the situation and the mood of the dog , but there again I don't have balls of steel like some

Am afraid i cant agree Dave she did EVERYTHING wrong, and she has had hundreds of complaints against her since the trailer was first aided, including from rescue centers

Re: Dangerous dog show
really ?? I know what you mean about doing things wrong . I saw the trailer on the news the night before and thought oh **** , but on the plus side when being interviewed and the news reader was trying to lead her into name and shame on breeds and she wouldnt be drawn into it she got a plusin my book . When I saw the whole show last night and had the full story I personally saw it in a different light and she did have compassion once she got the dog out and secure . Just my opinion thats all . I do think there was a big reaction from the clip on the news as it was all over FB but as I say I looked at it differently when I saw the full story, she's only human after all and I would have been bricking it

Re: Dangerous dog show
I think I put something on here about it earlier, but can't find it now. I think she was fine after the dog was out of the house, but, as I was saying to mum earlier when we were discussing it, I do think that she could have handled the removal better in terms of voice control. The shouting was too harsh.
I do understand that the situation was stressful, they'd been attempting for an hour to get the large, strong dog out of the house and that everybody involved was tired. Other than the shouting, I think she did a reasonable job; for instance, letting the dog calm down afterwards and patiently rehydrating him. The shouting, though, did let her down. In future, I hope she exercises better control over her emotions during jobs.

She apparently has been bitten more times then any other DW in Birmingham, and no bloody wonder she was just about as unprofessional as it gets and i really really cannot stand her, and think she needs a new profession.

Why don't you apply for her job Ella , you could probably do it without all them sticks and sleeves and stuff

Re: Dangerous dog show
Dog Warden perhaps isn't the best position for her, as she obviously became very distressed during the removal of the dog. In a high-stress situation, added frustration is just going to alarm the dog. I do believe that her heart was in the right place, as shown afterwards as she cared for the dog. Perhaps she would be better suited to a different job, or the same job after some more training.

Actually though I do not see you being able to maintain a level of calmness with people like that bloke with the pups and you would probably have to be body searched on your way out of every job , checking for company

I get why you're peed off. I was a bit put out when I first saw the clip as well! Was a bit shocking.

2 days into the job you would need a bigger house and claiming charity status as a rescue
