One of the girls at work makes soap and sells it. When I found out I asked to buy some but the choice was only either coconut or lavender, so I bought coconut. She was selling them for £2.99 a bar which is basically shop price but if I'd bought in a shop I would have chosen something nice - not coconut or lavender. So that is what made me look online to find out how to make soap, so that I could make some that suited me, something like patchouli. But - it will have to wait until I go somewhere civilized enough to sell the ingredients, you can barely buy soap in Bedlington never mind the ingredients to buy soap!

To make basic soap you need a glass jug i.e measuring jug that is microwave safe, and you need to designate that for soap making only, same with a sharp knife soap only, moulds, colourants, fragrances, and then soap base/or ingredients, oh and rubbing alcohol in a little spray bottle!

no worries, and i also suggest having a google and research soap making as it can be as simple or as complicated as you want, youtube is also great for starting out.

The loofah soap is a very interesting concept - well done for lateral thinking and a very pretty blue colour!

So, what is this show then Ella?
