Dempsey's paddling pool arrived - so far so good

It went reasonably well! He was very happy to jump in and out while it was empty. When we added an inch of water, he refused to go in - dipped his paws in briefly, but otherwise just shuffled at the edge.

Next time, we're going to add warm water veeeeery slowly while he's inside. He did want to go in, but he was too nervous and the water was probably a bit too cold.

The pool's a decent size as well!

Yes, it's a reasonable size, he can get his whole body inside with a little room to spare.

He wanted his toys & the treats put on top of them, but wasn't willing to get more than a damp claw to get them!

Slow and steady wins the race! I have no doubt that he will settle to it eventually!

I took the girls to the dam last week and Bella was very careful not to get her toes wet lol. Millie was in there doing her sploshy jump through the water and Bella stood at the side trying to pull at Millies lead   

No-go today, unfortunately! He got his paws damp, but then refused to do anything else.

Then decided he was going to run and greet mum when she came home, slicing through my toe with his claws! Ouch!

Ouch! They have a knack of managing to get you right on the toes with their nails

Hopefully! Just not really sure how to make it fun for him. It's difficult on my own, as he's used to just sleeping in the morning. Tried treats and toys, which worked to an extent.
