Getting Dempsey a paddling pool

He's been doing so well with the hose, I think he deserves a reward! The weather's starting to affect him now, so I'm looking through paddling pools online. Hopefully he'll enjoy it!

I think he will. A couple of years or so ago I'd have said no way, he was that afraid of water! But the past couple of summers he's gone down to the lake & gone paddling/swimming & really enjoyed it, so I'm hoping he'll like the paddling pool as well.

I don't think he'll take to it straight away. It'll probably take some encouragement. Might get him to stand it in when it's empty first, and then slowly tip water into it.

I've bought one anyway, as it was quite cheap and a decent size for the garden. At the very least, it'll be fun for me!

What a good idea! If he's not a wuss about getting his toes wet I'm sure he'll love it.

IF we are going to have a hot summer (and who knows? These few days might be our only summer   ) I might do the same. but like Dempsey and the hose, I will have to do it gradually, gradually.

Dont get an inflatable one! Prob last two seconds hahaha

I'm afraid he is a wuss! :lol:He hates water! Used to have a massive phobia of it, but we've managed to get him to enjoy the lake. He still hates puddles and anything else water-related.

Hopefully, the hot weather will encourage him to use the paddling pool.

Unfortunately, inflatable is the only one I can get! The only affordable ones which aren't inflatable are too big. It also needs to be collapsible for storage.

Yes it will have to be an inflatable for me too (your average kiddies paddling pool). If Kuchar kills it then so be it - he won't get a second chance.

I saw that before and loved it! Unfortunately, it has to be something collapsible/portable though, so that it can be put away after use.

We already have a pond, but Dempsey still associates that with his water phobia, so he doesn't go too near it.
