Thinking of getting a chameleon... Updated - or even a hedgehog! :P
First topic message reminder :
Probably only a small one, like a PLC. It's only a little thought buzzing around my head at the moment, as I don't think mum is too keen on the idea!
What ever happens, it definitely won't be for a good while yet. One extra species is good enough for me and I want to focus on my stick insects.

If he does, I'll know I've done my job!
Tomorrow will be the first official planning day! I'll start clearing out space from the pigsty I call my bedroom!

I could never subject it to that!
I love how I'm perfectly happy to live in it, but I won't allow an animal to do the same! Says a lot, really!

Got a response from our vets, saying that they will be very happy to treat my future hedgehog!

Can't rush into it!
My bedroom is an absolute tip, which is going to take a few weeks to sort out. I'll also need to get the supplies gradually, as I'm going to build the hedgehog's enclosure myself. Excited!

Thanks! I have this plan of exactly what it'll look like and all of the enclosures I saw online were either too dangerous, too small or looked like they'd been strung together with chewing gum!
I'll post a picture after it's been built, but I haven't even gotten the supplies yet, so it might be a while.

Update:
Plans have been scrapped as of today. Even after weeks of rearranging furniture and cleaning out, there just isn't enough room, so it wouldn't be fair on the hedgehog. Planning was fun though, so at least I got something out of it.

Oh. So sorry to hear of your disappointment.
Well, the good news is that you now have a lovely palace of a bedroom, which I hope you are proud of!
If there is not enough room for a hedgehog (and I have NO idea how much room they need), you have other options for a less spacially demanding little pet. I can think of many, as I'm sure you can.

It's better than it was, at least. I think I'm going to give future pets a miss for a while though and just focus on my stickies Not worth the upset if it doesn't work out!

Some cute little critters need very little space. I see many adorable little things in PAH every time I go there to buy Kuchar his food. I can't recall all their species - I have to close my eyes to prevent temptation!
