Re: Pics of the Brats
All my dogs love scenting. I bought a stack of plastic containers and pack them in different patterns and make them search for a treat. Great game to tire your dog mentally.
Xan is fabulous, he does proper tracking going through fields to find someone. We haven't done it in ages but Obedience scenting is childs play to him. His personal best is a 2km track, 3 days old with 3/5 articles found.
It wasn't a competition just a bunch of us training our dogs for fun.
Pics were on my stolen laptop [sigh]

When a post is so important, the forum decides to copy it out three times!
Any chance we could get a video of the hide 'n seek? Sounds really good!

Re: Pics of the Brats
It's very easy and simple to train just about any dog that likes it's food.
If your dog doesn't like food but loves his toys you can even do that.
I'll do a seperate post explaining and try for a clip tomorrow. It might not be too good as I have to do it on my phone.

I'm not sure that there's any chance of Dempsey doing it! I just really wanted to see a video.

If blond poodles can excell at it.. As long as you use a super dooper delicious treat any dog can learn it.

Dempsey has the attention span of a gnat, the stubbornness of a donkey and the intellectual capability of a bogey. But we'll see!
