Black Dog Syndrome

Interesting! Had heard about it before, but never really took too much notice.

It's strange, isn't it? I'd heard that black dogs are more difficult to rehome, but I didn't realise just how bad a problem it is.

Yeah, same here. I thought it might just be a coincidence or urban myth!

I don't think it's racism. I think it's some genetic memory of eons ago. Witches had black dogs and cats as familiars; any spooky, ghost story features a black dog etc etc etc..

I know from personal experience that black kittens are extremely hard to find homes for. I adore them! Probably because I always root for the underdog or well I'm a witch... or was that bitch.     

It's really strange. Black dogs, and all dark coloured animals have a beautiful gloss to their coat.

Don't believe for a second that it's racism, as it's nothing to do with races! I think, at my simplest guess, it's because the eye is just drawn to brighter colours.

Personally, I love black dogs!
