Dempsey scared me half to death!

He's always had this weird thing about cushions - he has to tear the zipper off, chew the corners and then hump the cushion. Got up this morning to find the cushions cover torn neatly open along one end, with the inside cushion on the floor with tufts sticking out of it, obviously from a 'play' session.
A while ago, he'd torn the zipper off of a cushion, so it was open on one end. I assumed that this was the same cushion, which would explain why I couldn't find the missing zipper from today's cushion. However, mum told me a few minutes ago that the ripped cushion had been thrown away. Cue the panic because Dempsey had apparently swallowed the zipper!
Tore through the rubbish bin to get to today's cushion and see if the zipper was mixed up in there. It wasn't. All prepared to have to get him down to the vets, until...
... The cheeky sod had ripped the other end of the cushion and left the zipper intact for once! Panic for nothing!
