Teaching myself to play the keyboard
I've had a keyboard in my bedroom for years, but never got around to really trying to play it. I started yesterday evening. Now, I can play half of one of my favourite piano tunes - both hands and everything - without looking!
I'm so happy! But now my fingers are refusing to cooperate with the laptop keyboard.

What tune is it?
That sounds rude, but I couldn't hear it properly.

Now this makes me very happy. I've played since I was about 7. Nothing beats the sound. Good on you! Go for it!
Are you reading music or working off the sound?

Eleanor can read music, but i don't know which she's doing with the keyboard.
She also plays the flute.

Re: Teaching myself to play the keyboard
I'm doing a bit of both - reading from music and going by ear.
It's 'River Flows in You' by Yiruma. Always loved it
Only trouble is, the keyboard doesn't reach the highest octave in the tune. So I've had to adjust a couple of notes slightly.
I'm having a lot of fun with it But every time somebody walks past my door when I'm playing, I suddenly mess up from nerves!

Just made it through the song without looking at the notes!
I had to edit out the lovely high verses, as they aren't in the keyboard's octaves. But still, I did it!
