You don't realise just how much goes into it, do you?  

I'm an organ donor.
When I die they can strip my carcass of everything slightly useful. I'm dead so what does it matter if I have my kidneys or not when I get cremated.

I've only recently signed up to be an organ donor too. If a bit of my body can help someone else when I have no more use for it then I can't see a problem.

As for being a living donator of a kidney, well it would be a big decision of course, but if someone (even a stranger) were on the brink of death and only my kidney could save them then I'd like to think I would do it.

I want to be an organ donor, as well. Not like you need your body after you're gone!

Really good article! I didn't know just how complicated it could be. Especially regarding the side effects/complications of dialysis!
