Bad news
First topic message reminder :
Have been a little afraid to post this cause frankly i'm embarrassed that it happened yet again. Lexi got out. She bent two metal poles right up and pushed through. I honestly don't even know how cause they are solid metal...its ridiculous. I don't know what i can do about it.
Anyway, this time she wasn't so lucky and was hit by a car. They drove on, as most wankers do, but a lovely lady stopped and got the traffic stopped while i picked her up. Rush to the vets but i already knew that she had a dislocated hip and some road rash. Vets did all the xrays and that and thats thankfully all it was, but she also bit through her tongue so had stitches.
She is still at the vets now, shes on high pain relief and won't eat anything (but then she wouldn't really eat away from home, so i told them to try some hand feeding cause that usually works) but is drinking well. I'm due to call again now, so will update if shes staying another night or not. I've told dad that she is not going to be staying outside anymore, he can like it or he can kick me out!

Re: Bad news
Oh, that is brilliant news! Hope Lexi is home tomorrow. Though sometimes the vet is the best place to be.....She will heal faster at home with her being happily tended by her loving family than the vets.

Omg to you both. I'm glad she is eating now and hopefully getting home soon.

Re: Bad news
Lexi doing well this morning vet is very happy with her. She's eating well and is walking very slowly with a sling and able to get up by herself. They were worried about how quiet she was but I told them she's always quiet lol still hasn't pooed so they won't be happy until she does but she's only had two meals so might not be much to come out and she pops in the evening so might be tomorrow she's home. Don't think she'll be out til the bills a nice round 500 :p
I have my crate ready for her and will have a word with mum about where she will tolerate it cause it will have to be easy for her to get in and outside with the sling to pee.

Re: Bad news
That really is good news.
She'll probably eat more at home so within a short time, ...... looks like you are on poop patrol.
