Awful way to treat a child...

I see a lot of this lately. People making their kids stand on corners with shaming posters, going into shops with their kids wearing placards or shirts shaming them, putting pics of the on Facebook.
I think it's bad parenting but I think it's even worse parenting that you allowed the situation to get to that level.

People talk about modern parenting being better, but if that's modern I'd rather stay old fashioned!

I can't put my finger on it, but that sort of thing does make me uncomfortable.

Modern parenting? Are parents even parenting anymore?
What I see in this shop of ours makes me shudder.

True, I don't think many parents really have a clue how to bring up children; but then their own parents probably didn't have a clue either.
