I got champion!
Twice!
This is for those who are not on my FB cause its old news really haha. Last show with charm was great. She got 1st in every class she was in and champion of BOTH sections. Two cups and a medal to add to my best year ever.
I really feel like i have established myself in the showing world. There are now people talking to me asking my advice and i'm actually able to tell them things.
Another huge step for me, that noone yet knows, is i have a stallion coming next week!!! He wil be shown next year. Not sure if he will actually do any stallion duties yet lol time will tell.

This is him lynda. Just really hoping he gets here. His owner has backed out of sales twice, so there is always the chance she may back out of this (but it is only a lease so she will still own him)

Him and charm will make a lovely foal. She has a better chest and neck, he has a better leg and colour gene. Also he is 31" and will bring her foal size down hopefully. Also 50% likely ot have a foal his colour, which is my dream lol

Congratulations! You've obviously worked hard for this, and Charm is a little beauty. I hope you get the stallion, he's gorgeous!

Oh wow! How fantastic Hayley, you must be SOOOOOO proud of your lovely horses and yourself!
Thriller looks terrific, you've done wonders with him. How will he and your new boy get on together do you think?
Many congratulations!

Hes slimmed down a lot this year! It clearly works for him haha. Thriller has lived with a stallion his whole life (his sire) so i can't think. He will either be "oh yes sir i respect you and know how to respect you" or he will be like "ive had this harem of ladies they are now mine NOT yours and ill fight for them"
He was very respectful of my other gelding, but he was many times larger so not sure if one the same size is fair game or not haha. But saying that, he is a lover not a fighter so i hope he will just learn to be subdominant again.
Likelyhood is he and thriller will be field buddies (i dont like stallions being alone) so if they are not near mares they may not fight.

Re: I got champion!
No, it's not good for any horse to be alone. I hope they do get along with each other.
50-odd years ago when I had horses, a man kept 3 stallions together in the field next to ours, and as far as I know they got on together fine. Fortunately there was a river between our fields, because if and when I took my gelding past their gate the swearing was terrible! But the river didn't stop one of the stallions when my field-sharer's mare came into season

Well banner is here, and he is fabulous. Him and thriller are in love haha
He is so oooooososososo calm and affectionate. Beautiful animal all round. I cant wait to show him.
Charm, who has been at home for a few weeks while her owner figured out what stallion she wanted, is coming here this weekend. She wants my stallion, which im so happy about. i was already taking the foal anyway, but now its my stallion, and her. So the foal will be great. Couldnt be happier.

Re: I got champion!
Well the process has began, charm came back yesterday (her owner had took her home for a while cause i wasn't sure if banner was coming and if he wasnt she was getting put to the original stallion we planned lol) and her n banner have been doing the nasty. Fingers tightly crossed folks!!
Charm will be staying here anyway, i missed her so much tbh, didn't really think about how much until she was to come back and i was chomping at the bit to get her. Love the little mare
