Happiest I've been in a long time!
Things have really brightened up in the last couple of weeks! Obviously, you lot are all stars and have helped!
I think a few people here know that I hated the course I was on last year and was dreading going back. It got to the point where I had no idea what I was going to do with my life, was making myself ill with worry and, to put it simply, just didn't know what the point of everything was. A big part of it was the fact that my dad and I haven't been on speaking terms for ages, even though we used to be really close. There was a bit more to it than that, but obviously you don't need to hear about all of it!
Long story short, took a gap year to think about things and had been feely pretty crappy until a couple of weeks ago. Things have really brightened up though and I've gotten everything straightened out. I'm also planning on having a proper discussion with my dad about everything that's going on so that we can just get things back to normal. It'll be awkward as hell, but it needs to be done.
Just had a two hour discussion with mum about everything (thank you mum! ) and am feeling so much better about it all. Always a silver lining somewhere!

Lock them in a cage and throw chocolate in every hour - that should do the trick!

Eleanor, tbh I didn't appreciate how unhappy you were (in my defence I have to have things spelt out very-clearly-in-words-of-one-syllable before I even begin to catch the drift I'm a bear of very little brain)
We all have some wobbles along life's path, but I'm so glad that things are brightening up for you - oh you've got such a lot of things going for you (I'll spell them out if you want me to, but I think you know what they are).

That's not your fault at all! To be honest, I didn't even mention it to my parents, although I'm sure they probably noticed I got quiet when the course was mentioned! The main problems were when I was all set to be starting the course last September, before I decided to defer for a year. That was when I was distancing myself from a certain other place (), so I wouldn't expect there to be any mind readers about!

I do! I think, like you said, everybody gets wobbles sometimes and it can get hard to remember that there are things to appreciate in life. Thanks!
