Scotland gamekeepers call for tail docking ban to be changed

I don't think either choice - keep the ban or change it - is without its consequences, but I personally think that the gamekeepers have a point. I am completely against cosmetic mutilation, but if it's for the protection of the dog, I'm not so sure.

My only worry would be that it'd become like in England - breeders will take the pups to a vet & sign a form to say that they all going to working homes so that the vet can dock them. Just a way around the law so the law means nothing.

Unfortunately, they'll almost certainly do that if the law is changed.
