Oh dear... sad

Shame there's no background to the story. What happened beforehand? What triggered the aggression? Was there a history of aggression? Had the dog been trained?

Was the man holding her down BEFORE the incident or just whilst like he said?

You'll probably never know the full truth of it.

I would imagine the dog will be pts. sad

Definitely 'type', but the press will always add 'Staffordshire bull terrier' type. sad

You're right, you can't win with the way things are now. I wish people could see the number of dogs being shown in this country that have superb temperaments, but that isn't 'news' is it?

Well, Fluffy certainly doesn't look like vicious dog in the photo does she - her eyes look more puzzled than anything. Without knowing the full details it is impossible to decipher what went on here. I hope Fluffy (what an inappropriate name) gets a chance.

She bit their feet? That's typical for a dog that has been kicked a lot.
If a dog attacks you it's not going to bite your feet.

Poor dog, looks so cute. They probably only had it for a few days, noone with a bull breed for the amount of time that dogs been alive would be so silly to start trying any ceasre milan **** on it. Unfortunately you can't train people!

Dempsey nips at feet, but that's in play. I agree that the majority of dogs are far more likely to go for the body/hands/arms than the feet. There's more to this story than just 'dog unexpectedly attacks owners!'

Defo. The owners reactions probably sent the dog to the moon, its like the man who was on dog borstal once, who would play fight with his staff and ebt, and they would frequently hang off him and snap and bite, he then wondered why they were aggressive!

Xan and Axel also like nipping at my feet and Xan sounds like he's mauling me.
I then 'kick'him away, he spins and kills my foot again. He loves if I'm wearing my slippers and we play this game.

I think I remember that episode!

I can't imagine ever having to call the police on my own dog. That's quite possibly the ultimate example of failing your dog. Dogs don't just jump from being 100% friendly to dangerous.

I agree that there is more to this story than meets the eye. One scenario immediately sprang to my mind which is sheer supposition and involves the dog protecting his mistress.
