Good Canine Companion Empty Good Canine Companion

A very exhausting day. So much nervousness, tension and stress tongue
It was very hot! but the dogs coped well and overall did well. Out of the 24 dogs entered 13 qualified. Most of those that didn't qualify was due to their handlers.
Both Xan and Spike qualified happy
I am still utterly amazed at Spike. TBH I did not think he would do it. Very proud of my boytjie.

I did have one issue (ok I'm pissed off about it). The vet doing the vet visit (looking in their mouth, ears, eye etc..) had both my dogs stand facing him and pulled their heads upwards and twisted to the side to look in their mouths. Both yanked their heads away as it's a totally unnatural position and he docked them a point for unwillingness. He did this with only one other dog. They had to get on a low table for this and with the other dogs he sat down next to them on the table.
I did complain but it was ignored as sour grapes.

I'm still waiting for all the photos of the day.

Well done! Fantastic result. thumbs up I knew you could do it. wink

I agree with you, though, what the vet did was rather silly, and could have cost you the qualification. Not good.

I just feel it's a test and you have to do the same thing with each and every dog.
If it cost me my qualification I would have made a great big stink.

And quite rightly.

Yes, if everybody's doing the same test, then the way that test is carried out must be the same for everybody!
