Dempsey's paw is still bothering him. On top of that, his tummy is bad again. We're cutting out all of his biscuit treats until he improves, then going to reintroduce each type gradually to see which one he's intolerant to.

Washed his paw again earlier and put some more coconut oil on it, as it's bothering him when he's out on his walks - poor thing. He had a little bit of a growl as I was washing it. Couldn't tell him off for it, as he was just letting me know it hurt, not actually growling at me.

I might stay up with him tonight, in case he needs to go to the toilet during the night. He's had some Kaogel, will probably be having some more probiotics and is eating light meals for now. Had some lovely white fish for his dinner, which he had fun with!

The joys of having a dog with food intolerances!

Poor Dempsey is certainly going through it with his sore paw and sore tummy.

After you've bathed and dressed his paw, is it worth trying to tape a sock or similar over it for his walks? Just until it is healed?

He's a walking disaster!

Unfortunately, we can't. sad We tried that before when he kept snapping his dewclaws, but he just won't put up with it. It distresses him to no end and he walks along with his leg out at an angle, looking miserable!

Oh well, it was just a thought. They don't understand what's best for them sometimes, do they?

Get well soon Dempsey  hug

He's fast asleep by my chair at the moment.

His late walk went well & although his motions were soft, they weren't as bad as earlier & he seems very settled now.

It's strange. Every time I say he should have a bath, he gets a poorly stomach & it doesn't get done...... rolling eyes

Don't give him any warning next time. Sneaky, guerilla bath tactics for him.
Glad he's better.

He's due his annual check-up soon, so might be something we'll need to mention to his vet. He went to the toilet in the garden earlier (very unusual for him) and was sick. I think, with some light meals and no treats for the next few days, it could clear up. We'll see!

Poor boy. He's constantly struggling with his tummy. Wish I could think of something, you haven't tried, that could help.

Definitely!

Will be getting him some natural yoghurt later on, to mix his probiotic powder into. I used honey the first time, but I'd sooner not use it too often, as sugar affects the osmosis of the intestines, so it would be difficult to see any differences in his stools.
